Regional Agriculture Adaptation Strategies Pilot Projects
September 2012 – April 2013
Development of regional agricultural adaptation strategies in the Peace River, Cowichan Valley, and Delta regions of BC. Included collection, interpretation, analysis and presentation of regional climate change data, interactive workshops with the agricultural community, identification of agricultural impacts, and development of adaptation strategies and actions.
Regional Adaptation Collaboratives Flood Adaptation in Delta, BC
June 2010 – June 2011
This project was funded by the BC Regional Adaptation Collaborative (RAC) and was a partnership between UBC CALP and the Corporation of Delta to propose, visualize, and evaluate possible adaptations to climate-change induced sea-level-rise flooding in Delta, BC. I was project coordinator for UBC CALP for the first two years of the project.
4D Visioning for Climate Change Decision-Making in Clyde River, Nunavut
January 2009 – June 2011
The purpose of this project was to implement and test the effectiveness of a visioning approach to climate change decision-making in the arctic. Similar processes have proven effective in southern, urban communities, but they had yet to be tested in an arctic hamlet context. I coordinated this project from January 2009 to June 2011.
YouMap Vancouver
September 2008 – December 2008
YouMap Vancouver was a project conducted in partnership with the Vancouver City Planning Commission to test new citizen engagement methods in two Vancouver neighbourhoods. I co-coordinated, facilitated, and publicized the project, as well as doing GIS mapping and graphic design.
South East 17th Avenue Charrette, PlanIt Calgary
June 2008 – Present
I co-coordinated, facilitated, and produced the final report for this land-use charrette as part of the PlanIt Calgary process.
